Royal Ontario Museum (Toronto, Canada)

You like arts, natural evolution across eras, from dinosaurs to present, cultural evolution (both modern and ancient), geology, archaology etc., but you only have one day in a city to spend, so you cannot decide which particular museum to go to? This is not a problem if the city you are visiting is Toronto.

Contrary to most other big cities with a variation of museums on different specific topics, the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) has a bit of everything. The topics are nicely separated into different exhibitions across several floors. You can easily spend a whole day in it if you want to see everything in detail. In addition to a restaurant, where you can buy warm meals and snacks, the ROM also has a lunchroom where you can eat brought-along food (good, if you want to save money in the almost ridiculously expensive Toronto). The entrance price for the museum is surprisingly affordable compared to most European museums I have been to, and even surprisingly cheap compared to entrance prices of pretty much every other attraction in Toronto. To me, the ROM is one of the nicest (if not THE nicest) museums I have ever been to.
